About Us
Our Story
My name is Ohm and I am a 14 years old Thai living in Bangkok. Growing up, sport plays a very big role in my life. I always involve in some sports or another. I love playing basketball, tennis, badminton. I played football (soccer) a bit too and I love watching football especially English Premier League. (Glory Glory Man United)...
Not only sport help me get stronger, it also helps me meet and make new friends, make me laughs, get me to be more focus and discipline (you need this in competition mode). I genuinely make me a happy person and I greatly appreciate that my family give me the opportunity to get into sports.
Unfortunately, this is not always the case for many kids especially those who go to public schools in far away towns in Thailand. There isn't enough support for children to get into sports. Their school do not have enough money to buy new equipment so they have to play on with their torn/broken down balls. The school facilities are not ideal either. The fields and courts are not well maintained.
Knowing this, I believe I can do something about it and this leads to the creation of Follow Thru. Follow Thru is a non profit program that gives children in less fortunate communities the opportunity to better enjoy sports in their local schools. We search for public schools in rural town in Thailand and ask them what can we do to help improve their athletic programs.
We aim to help by asking those who have common interest to help kids in their sport by:
1. Donate unwanted sport apparels.
2. Donate money to help with funding for new sport equipment and renovate school's sport facilities
I hope that Follow Thru will bring smiles and happiness to children who because our help receive a better sport experience.
